Well as if the R6 didn't drain my wallet enough, I bought a second race bike!!

Yes, your eyes don't deceive you, it is a 1980 RD250LC. Having given it a shake down at Brands Indy at the start of December (yes I actually booked a trackday in December!) it really highlighted how far bikes have come in the last 2 decades, in its day the LCs were the bikes to have.  I suppose in the Yamaha range it was the R6 of its day (the 350LC being the eqiuvilent of the R7/1) so is quite fitting.  It has been affectionately named Laurel (and RD).

He was cheap and I couldn't turn it down!  The above pic is what it looked like when I got it, it is now dressed in orange uniform and has black wheels, so he looks like like his big (well I suppose younger) brother the R6, oh and I have filled that dent :) ... I'll get a newer pic sometime.

I intend to race it at a few rounds in 2003 in the Yamaha Past Masters series as well as the R6 in different classes on the same day click here for what I intend to do in 2003.
